We want to work with third parties who share our commitment to responsible business behaviour.
Fulfilling Haleon’s purpose demands strict attention to every aspect of the design, production and delivery of our products. Haleon works to ensure that consumers consistently receive a product that is safe and performs as promised and with minimal impact on the environment.
Our supply chain, suppliers and business partners are vital to our success. Rigorous compliance procedures and infrastructure standards are applied to our internal and third-party manufacturing sites and distribution centres. We are subject to multiple regulatory inspections and certifications every year by national regulatory bodies and external certification bodies including the FDA and MHRA. External manufacturers and suppliers of Haleon are also audited to ensure compliance with the regulations under which they operate.
We are committed to safe, responsible and transparent business practices and follow set processes for contracting with new suppliers, and those we continue to work with, including due diligence processes and using approved buying channels.
At Haleon, working with responsible suppliers is a key component of our Responsible Business Strategy. We want to work with third parties who share our commitment to good environmental, social and ethical standards and operate in a responsible way. This includes compliance with all national laws and regulations as well as international conventions such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact covering human rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
Our Working with Responsible Third Parties position outlines our expectations of suppliers and other third parties. Haleon is also a member of Manufacture 2030, a platform to drive consistency and transparency of supplier sustainability reporting. Our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) process seeks to proactively screen suppliers prior to engagement and assess risks across our supply chain, and where necessary we undertake targeted in-depth due diligence. We use a combination of EcoVadis assessments and Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative audits to assess risks.
