We are committed to creating a truly inclusive environment where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and thrive.

We aim to develop a leadership position on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and policies. We want Haleon to be a place where all our employees feel they truly belong and can be their authentic selves. We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace, and view this as key to delivering our purpose. As part of our Responsible Business strategy, we are committed to ensuring our business reflects the diversity of the communities within which we operate. We have a number of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies and initiatives that incorporate key areas of diversity (race, disability, LGBTQ+ gender), and are driven by strong focus areas in ethnicity and gender.

Among others, our goals include reaching gender parity in leadership roles[1] by 2030 . Gender goals are aligned to leaders’ individual incentives and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) pay-outs.

We have established a Global DEI Council, with endorsement and sponsorship from the CEO and Executive Team, to set priorities and drive accountability to initiate, fund and oversee the implementation of Haleon’s global DEI activities.

Partnering with 10,000 Black Interns

In 2022, we partnered with the 10,000 Black Interns programme as a pilot to increase the ethnic diversity of our future talent pipelines in Haleon. 10,000 Black Interns is a registered charity working with companies across more than 25 sectors to provide black students with insights into industry through paid internships. 17 interns joined Haleon via the programme in June 2022 for placements of up to 12 weeks across Global Marketing, Quality & Supply Chain, Human Resources, Corporate Affairs and Technology. During their internship, they met with senior leaders to discuss career paths, as well as taking part in reverse diversity mentoring sessions with leaders, allowing leaders to learn from new voices and perspectives. Two of these internships have already been converted into permanent opportunities and one as a contract role within Haleon. We are working to place more interns into roles at Haleon after they have completed their final year of studies.

Launching our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

We’ve created four Global ERGs – focused on disability, gender, LGBTQ+ and ethnicity, to create a positive impact around a range of diversity topics and issues. These are voluntary, employee-led communities, where our colleagues will convene to drive meaningful change across our company. We also have local ERGs that reflect specific needs of the location or geography and they can seek guidance and support from the Global ERGs where there is subject matter alignment.

[1] Leadership roles = Employees within our compensation grades 0-5. These roles include members of the Executive Team, their direct reports (excluding administration support), heads of department and other upper management.
